Overview

This page contains instructions for and provides access to cumulative PTFpackages for our products. In addition, it lists IBM®  PTFs known to be relevant to our products.

Instructions

Select an installation method, either save file or executable zip (but not both).

Save File Installation
From an IBM i command line run the Retrieve Gumbo PTF (RTVGSIPTF) command. For example run SPLAMATIC/RTVGSIPTFEnter to install Spool-a-Matic PTFs.
Executable Zip Installation
Determine your installed release (aka. License Term) by running WRKLICINF PRDID('2A55*')Enter. Download the .exe self-extracting zip file for your release and run it. Follow the displayed "readme.htm" file's step by step instructions to upload the included save file and install the fixes on your system.

We deliver only immediate PTFs. You can load and apply them during normal operations and do not need to bring IBM i to a restricted state. Jobs that are using our software may not see the effects of the changes until they are restarted.

PTFs cannot change a product release. To upgrade to a newer release, you must download and install it.
